focus:The profile of scientific and research activities provided at the faculty is closely related to those branches of specialisation, which the students may study. Departments represent the principal and decisive organisation units, where the above-mentioned scientific and research activities are provided. The Centre for Comparative Studies and International Relations represents an important department of the faculty, which deals with principal research objective closely related to two significant sets of problems. The first set of problems is closely related to several questions of international relations or affairs whose main aspects are concerned with defence policy of the Slovak republic and its bilateral relations with neighbouring states and countries. The second set of problems is closely related to aspects concerning public, governmental and self-governmental administration, especially to compatibility of Slovak and European standards of regional (cross-border) co-operation. The faculty is published in co-operation with the Cabinet of Political Sciences a special magazine called: "Political Sciences ", which dealing with problems of recent history, international affairs and theory of politics. Teaching: Study at the Faculty takes the form of ten-semester master courses and six-semester bachelor study. A graduate of master study acquires theoretical, methodological and practical knowledge in the field of political sciences, international relations, diplomacy and public administration.
